Drama Review: Zettai Kareshi (Spoilers alert!!)

I got this j-dorama from my friend, she really have a lot of japan drama >.<

Before I continue, this review might contain spoilers so any anti spoiler you can just not read it.

This drama consist of 11 episode and is adapted from manga "Zettai Kareshi" or in english, Absolute Boyfriend. People reviewed that the manga version and drama version is way too different in their story line, but I watch the drama 1st before read the manga and I found out the drama is quite good even different from the original story line ^^

So here's some review. This drama is about a young woman, Rikko who always got rejected by boys since she was in school. She was always descri One day she met a scientist named Namikiri by co-incidence and he said he will change her love life. The scientist brought Rikko to a company named Kronos Heaven and gave her to answer a set of question about an ideal boyfriend. Rikko without thinking further just answered the questions thinking that it just some sort of normal survey. After that she just left the company.

By the next day, a huge parcel came to her house. And when she opened it her "ideal boyfriend" is inside!! Its a human look-alike robot >.< Since that, Rikko's life changed, living with robot who always said "I love you" all the time, cleaning the house, cook for her, doing house chores but sleep in toilet everyday. Rikko even named the robot as Tenjo Night, a knight who always protecting her.

Rikko treated Night more to "house appliance" since it just a robot. Meanwhile Night, being a first series of love robot encountered several error while on his way protecting Rikko and the error somehow caused Night to developed real human feelings instead of just a programmed robot. And its slowly has captured Rikko's heart. But at the same time, Rikko's boss, Soushi also has a feeling towards her, which put Rikko in dilemma position.

Rikko who really fond of man's love started to fall in love with her boss due to that they always spent time together working on new sweet (they work in sweet company). Night aware of that, but still try his best to accommodate Rikko and give all his love as an ideal boyfriend. One day, Night saved Rikko from being hit by a car and "injured" him self badly, which caused him for a major repair. Since that Rikko caught her eye on Night while at the same time hold her feeling towards his boss.

After Night was repaired, Rikko start to treat him better which make Night feel very happy. However day by day Night keep encounter function error since his major repairment. At the same time Soushi confessed his feeling to Rikko and Rikko said she have the same felling too.
And also at the same time, both of them were offered for sweet making training in Paris for 3 years, and planned to go together. But going to Paris with Soushi means she must left Night alone in Japan.

Night who knows about the plan willing to let Rikko go to Paris for the sake of her dream to become patstisizer. Rikko are pleased with Night willingness to let her go to Paris. At the same time Kronos Heaven plan to disposed Night since they considere it as a faulty product for having a human feelings. They came to collect Night on the day Rikko going to depart to Paris and said it just for a maintainnance. Rikko who never suspect of anything just let the company took Night for the "repair". However, Namikiri who was eventually being suspended for being protective to his robot night, managed to escape and called Rikko about the real situation. Rikko ran quickly to the Kronos Heaven and told Soushi she cant leave Night. She managed to save Night from being terminated.

Rikko finally realized how Night is important to her, and decided to live her life together with Night. However, Night chip system become weaker due to a lot of battle that he already going through and eventually he was going to die. Knowing of his fate, Night wrote a letter to Soushi to take care of his girlfriend when he gone. During his last period of life time, Night spent his time with Rikko by dating, and having party with their collegue. Rikko even gave Night a knitted mufler on the last day they were together. During the final night when Rikko was sleeping, Night kissed Rikko for a last time, leave the house and find his inventor, Namikiri. Night finally ceased functionning infront of Namikiri and the last word he said was "Rikko" while looking at the knitted mufler.

The next day, Rikko woke up and finding Night is not around. Namikiri came to her house explained what happened to Night, which burst Rikko into tears. Namikiri then handed the main chip of Night which contain last message from Night, telling her do not cry and live happy achieving her dream. He will watch from above. Following the last message from Night, Rikko followed Soushi to Paris in order to achieve her dream.

Isnt the story sweet, even it has a really sad ending T_T

How I wish I have a zettai kareshi who always protect me, say sweet things to me and at the same time really mean it, always try his best to make me happy, never hurt me, and accept me for who I am.

The Coffin

Recently, I went to Mid Valley with my bro. Since we had so much of free time, we decided to catch a movie. There were quite a number of movies on screen that day such as High School Musical 3, The Vampire Who Admires Me, The Coffin, My Best Friend's Girl, Bangkok Dangerous, The House Bunny, Tropic Thunder, Disaster Movie and many more. Even among all the movies, High School Musical is the one with most promotion event, but we kinda not interested to watch it. Haha.. Then I actually was attracted to watch My Best Friend's Girl since it looks like romantic movie >.<. But, my bro dun like that type of lurvie gilrie romantico movies =/ . So after we looked again to the movies on showing, we finally choosed The Coffin. Why I choose The Coffin? First, I attracted to its title and poster. haha. Second is because Karen Mok is one of the cast =x. So..here we go..The Coffin!!

The movie which is 80% english spoken with some Thailand diaologue, cast by Karen Mok (Sue), Ananda Everingham (Chris), Andrew Lin (Jack), Aki Shibuya (Mariko), and Napakpapha Nakprasitte (May). This movie is based on a true ritual practic in Thailand, where a person need to lie inside a coffin in order to get rid of their bad karma and to prolong life.
So, a young man, Chris and a young woman, Sue (who both of them dont have any relation in this story aka 2 story lines) decided to join the ritual in order to save them from their bad karma. Chris girlfriend, Mariko is coma in hospital, while Sue is diagnosed with tumor before her wedding. After the ritual, good events started to appear for both of them, but however followed by a series of pharanormal event which are believed to be the result from disturbing a wheel of karma (by join the ritual in the 1st place). Thus both of them tried warious ways in order to escape from being haunted by the pharanormality.

Overall, I can say its not a bad movie..Nice cast, beautiful cinematographic, and..yeah..it gives me a chill at times but however some plot of the movie are not so clear, especially the storyline of Chris, with the mysterious May. At the end I still not sure who is May actually..haha. But nvm, the movie is allright..I give 3 stars out of 5 :D
